OC To Be Cancelled of over 150 Homes in DLF Phases 3 And 5

GURUGRAM:  The department of city associate degreed country (DTCP) on weekday issued an order directional builders and therefore the discom to disconnect power and facility to 157 homes in DLF phases three and five — out of that seventy square measure engineered on plots for economically weaker sections (EWS) — because the house owners had made further floors.

Around seventy homes from the EWS class in DLF section three and eighty seven homes in DLF five square measure in violation of the Haryana Development and Regulation of Urban Areas Act, 1975.

The EWS class plot house owners were assigned sixty yards of land. As per the Haryana code, construction is allowed up to four floors or a height of 15m.

However, many homeowners have made up to 7-8 floors and have conjointly encroached upon open areas at the front and back of their plots, ending up covering 100% of the bottom. though the rule says only 1 room are often in-built the whole building, the plot house owners have created kitchens on every floor. The plots square measure for residential functions, however the extra floors were getting used for business purpose.

Plot house owners, however, failed to pay abundant heed to notices sent by DTCP or actions taken by them.

In order to send a stronger message to the violators, deputy city planner (DTP-enforcement) has asked DLF, the builder, to disconnect facility and sewerage services to such homes underneath its jurisdiction.

DTP has conjointly written to the chief engineer at the discom, recommending disconnection of power. DTP (planning) has been asked to cancel the OC of those homes additionally.
