22th April 2017, Gurgaon: Mr. Manohar Lal Khattar, Chief Minister of Haryana has asked HUDA to connect the NH-8 near Kherki Daula to the NPR to make the expressway operational as soon as possible for the convenience of commuters.
The expressway project (NPR Project) is supposed to be connected to the NH-8 a few hundred meters away from Kherki Daula toll plaza. The commuters who wish to use the expressway for a smoother drive to Manesar and beyond from sector 9, 10, Palam, Vihar, Basai would certainly prefer the NPR route over the Kherki Daula route (Hero Honda Route).
HUDA officials have properly inspected both NPR and SPR projects and they are soon starting the construction in remaining portion to link the NPR to NH-8. The portion that is left for construction stretches around 600 meters and it is one of the key factors regarding the completion of the project.
The Chief Minster urged the HUDA officials to discuss the matter with NHAI and find a possible solution to make the road operational as soon as possible. Both HUDA officials and NHAI are also looking positive on this situation.
The project was held due to NPR oustees as there was a lot going on regarding their relocation and rehabilitation. Both oustees and government had their terms for the settlement. Now, as the relocation and rehabilitation framework is done, it can be said that the project should be completed soon enough.
